Hoodie Season

“If there’s one piece of clothing that has universal acceptance as ‘a singular piece of fashion statement’, it [has to be] the hoodie” (Hindustan Times). Hooded garments date back to Medieval Europe. Monks were known to wear a tunic or robe with a hood called a cowl. In addition, in the 1930s workers wore hooded sweatshirts while working in cold NY warehouses. The modern styled hoodie was produced by Champion for laborers working in freezing temperatures. In the 1970s and 1990s, hoodies evolved and could be seen in various fashion collections. Today, hoodies have become the “go to” item for many including teenagers and adults. They are perfect for chilly weather, hanging with friends, lounging around, running errands, going out etc.

Hoodies are my “go to” when the weather is changing. They are in so many fashion collections that they are available in many different styles. I opted for an oversized nude hoodie and paired it with leather shorts and pumps. This hoodie has a ruffled hem line and oversized drawstrings for added style. Hoodies are ultimately prefect for many occasions and will continue be a wardrobe staple. How are you styling your hoodie this season? Comment below.
